چکیده

Microalgae have a high growth rate, CO2 absorption capacity, and content of chlorophyll, proteins, vitamins, mineral salts, carbohydrates, antioxidant substances, fatty acids. In recent years, Chlorella vulgaris has been widely used as feedstock for producing third-generation biofuels, such bioethanol. Thus, this work aims to develop strategy increase the production scale microalgae grown in distilled reused water, supplemented with modified BG-11 medium, use biomass The total cultivation 72 L presented concentration 0.415 g·L−1·d−1, 61.32 g final biomass. To improve carbohydrate extraction, was pre-treated sulfuric acid at different concentrations (1.5% 3% v/v). hydrolyzed solution YPD (yeast extract peptone dextrose) medium inoculated Saccharomyces cerevisae yeast, initiating fermentation. each sample, Brix degree, cell concentration, reducing sugar alcohol were analyzed. sample 1.5% v/v one that best result, after distillation 68 °GL (Gay-Lussac). It appears scale-up, potential biofuel.

Dual-mode cultivation of Chlorella protothecoides applying inter-reactors gas transfer improves microalgae biodiesel production.

Chlorella protothecoides, a lipid-producing microalga, was grown heterotrophically and autotrophically in separate reactors, the off-gases exiting the former being used to aerate the latter. Autotrophic biomass productivity with the two-reactor association, 0.0249gL(-1)h(-1), was 2.2-fold the value obtained in a control autotrophic culture, aerated with ambient air. Fatty acid productivity was ...

Use of Chlorella vulgaris microalgae in the treatment of dairy wastewater

Background and Objective: Nutrient-rich effluents (mainly nitrogen and phosphorus) may lead to algae blooms and many harmful effects in aquatic environments. Micro-algae have been more effective among the various methods used for the removing of nutrients from wastewater. Microalgae Chlorella vulgaris has specific characteristics such as rapid growth, resistant to systems manipulation, simple a...
